Just as a avid bass fisherman how much he has in his gear, boat, truck, etc. Then ask him how much he spends per outing to pay for gas, food, bait, lures, travel expense, entry fees to the contests etc. Our hobby is far from the most expensive. He is an avid golfer, and sees no problem dropping $200 or more on a round of golf. I am still not convinced that he has the cheaper hobby.
